TIMINGS: The class will run in person on Saturday 20th June from 10:00 - 16:00 at Winchester Quaker Meeting House

A 1 day class with Flo Collingwood’s Hound design, worked using a variety of both traditional and more unusual surface stitches. 
Stitches include padded satin, trellis, knotted stitches, leaf stitches such as closed herringbone and fly, outline stitches and more! If you have a specific stitch you want to try we can also of course include that within the design! 
The class suits any ability, as we can adapt the stitch plan to suit your needs - simpler stitches for beginners can be used or more complicated knotted and padded stitches for example for the more experienced stitchers! 
These surface stitches are often seen in traditional crewelwork designs, but can also be really effective in more intricate, detailed designs using 1 or 2 strands of embroidery thread. 
 
The kit will include all materials needed, including the stranded cottons but if you have a stash and wish to bring your own, or wish to bring silk stranded threads then please do and you may wish to purchase the drawn on design without the threads, needles, and extra bits. 
You may want to also include extra Spangles, small buttons or beads so do bring if you want and I will also have extra with me! 
 
Please note - The kit does include instructions so if you wanted these, but dont want to purchase the whole kit please let me know! 
 
The design is worked on white linen/cotton- if you prefer to stitch on a different colour you can bring your own fabric and we can draw on the design at the beginning of the class.  If you are a beginner I would suggest sticking with the white/ off white fabric.

The cost of the kit will be paid to the tutor on the day and is estimated to be £28 for the full kit OR £10 if you just want the drawn on design without threads, booklet, needles and beads. (Payment by cash or online transfer)
