March with Kate Cross (MIXED)

This is a combined in person and online class. The first day will be on Saturday 12th March in Winchester from 10:00 to 16:00, and this will be followed by two online classes on Fridays 18th and 25th March from 10:00 to 12:30

Learn the art of metal thread embroidery in this exquisite silver snowdrop design with a pure silk dupion background. You will explore many essential techniques within this design.

In the first class you will learn how to pad metalwork embroidery with two types of padding; felt padding and string padding. In the two subsequent classes you will explore the following techniques; pearl-purl, couching, cutwork, S’ing and basketweave. 

The cost of the kit will be paid to the tutor on the day, and is expected to be between £50 and £60.
